Counsel Guerrette earned a bachelor's degree in administrative sciences (with a major in Management and a minor in the Management of Computer Network Systems) (1984), as well as a French Common Law Degree (1988), both from the Université de Moncton. She is a member of the Québec and New Brunswick Bars, the Canadian Bar Association since February 1989 and a civil and commercial mediator, certified by the Québec Bar and by the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada ("ADRIC") and by the"Institut de médiation et d'arbitrage du Québec" ("IMAQ").

From 1989 to 1996, Mrs. Guerrette practiced as a Lawyer and Notary Public in the province of New Brunswick and was Managing Director of the French Jurists' Association of New Brunswick (AJEFNB). Throughout those years, Mrs. Guerrette also actively participated in activities aimed at standardizing Common Law in French through the Administration of Justice in Both Official Languages Program of Canada (PAJLO) and also as a member of the Linguistic Committee of the Court Challenges Program of Canada.

In 1997, Mrs. Guerrette joined Montréal's Alis Technologies Inc. as General Counsel. She was responsible for Alis' overall legal affairs and acted as the company's Corporate Secretary. Her mandate involved completing elaborate business acquisitions, contract negotiations, management of intellectual property, litigation and ensuring optimal exchanges between Alis' management and Board of Directors and Shareholders.

In 2005, Mrs. Guerrette is appointed Assistant Corporate Secretary, Legal Affairs at Transat A.T. Inc. (TSX: TRZ), where she acted as Corporate Secretary for the parent company as well as numerous international subsidiaries. She was also responsible for ensuring Transat's corporate governance and regulatory compliance. She acted as Corporate Secretary and Legal Counsel at Transat's Board of Directors, Committees, Shareholders and subsidiary Board meetings. As well, she actively assisted in negotiations leading to business acquisitions, conflict resolutions and managed related compliance issues with regulatory authorities, including security commissions and the TSX.

In June 2008, Mrs. Guerrette founded Lex Scripta and the legal firm has since partnered with other professionals under the corporate name "CGL Lawyers, Nominal Partnership", in order give Lex Scripta's clients access to a wider range of professional services.
​
Counsel Guerrette currently offers legal business and corporate services as well as governance, compliance, civil and commercial mediation services. As external legal counsel, she is called to attend her clients' Board meetings, most of which are private and publicly traded companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange ("TSX") or the TSX-V, as well as not-for-profit corporations, servicing various industries and the arts.

Mrs. Guerrette is a pro bono Director at the Margie Gillis Dance Foundation and a former Director of the Prix de la danse de Montréal and the Laskin Moot Court. Counsel Guerrette also defends the interests of high performance athletes in mediation and arbitration sessions at the Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada (SDRCC), which offers an innovative approach to dealing with disputes at the national level of Canada's sport system.

Maître André J. Côté

Maître J. Côté est titulaire d’une licence en droit civil de l’Université de Montréal (1981) et d’une maîtrise en droit des technologies de l’information (2008) de la même université.
Il est membre en règle du Barreau du Québec depuis janvier 1983. De 1983 à 1986.
Maître Côté pratique à titre d’avocat plaideur au sein du cabinet Émile Colas et Associés.

En 1986, il poursuit sa carrière chez Gamache, Godin, Doyle.
De 1988 à 1992, il s’associe au cabinet Kaufman Laramée et continue à parfaire son expertise en matière de litige civil et droit des affaires.
En 1992, Me Côté fonde son propre cabinet et s’associe avec Maître André Davignon, sa pratique est alors axée sur le droit corporatif, le droit des affaires, le droit du travail et le litige civil commercial.
En juin 2011, Maître André J. Côté devient associé au sein du cabinet Martin, Camirand, Pelletier S.E.N.C.

Counsel André J. Côté holds a Civil Law Licence from the Université of Montreal (1981) and a Masters in Information Technology Law (2008) from the same University.

He is a member of the Québec Bar since January 1983. From 1983 to 1986, Counsel Côté practiced as a lawyer and litigator with the firm of Émile Colas and Associates.
In 1986, he continued his career at Gamache, Godin, Doyle. From 1988 to 1992, he worked at the firm of Kaufman Laramée and continued to hone his expertise in civil litigation and business law.
n 1992, Mr. Côté founded his own firm and partnered with Counsel André Davignon, focusing his practice on all aspects of corporate and business law, employment law and civil litigation.
In June 2011, Counsel Côté joined the firm Martin, Camirand, Pelletier, S.E.N.C.

Given his expertise and reputation, Counsel Côté manages complex civil litigation and appears before the highest Courts.
He offers his services as a lawyer and litigator and collaborates with the CGL lawfirm on mandates relating to Québec private laws and also handles all of Lex Scripta’s litigation and civil proceedings in Québec.

Counsel Serge Effi

Counsel Effi holds a doctorate degree (Ph.D) from the University of Paris I-Sorbonne (1999), a Professional Lawyer’s Certificate (CAPA) from « L’école de Formation des Barreaux de Paris » (1995), a diploma from the Public Law and Business Institute EFB-IDPA (1995) and a Master’s Degree in Economic Law from the University of Paris 13 (1992).

From 1997 to 2006, Counsel Effi held various positions with renowned companies. He served as Senior Director to one of the leading financial auditing firms in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. As well, he worked in Paris for a few years as an associate lawyer in a two “boutique” firms specializing in business law.
​
In recent years, Counsel Effi collaborated in the implementation of large conglomerates in the Ivory Coast and worked in the legal restructuring of several groups, as well as numerous mergers and acquisitions.
​
During his career, Counsel Effi worked on many fiscal optimization projects and drafted many complex technical agreements. He has also worked successfully with many oil and energy sector companies and completed social audits on their behalves. Counsel Effi has also launched initial public offerings on West Africa’s Regional Stock Exchange known as « Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières ».

Counsel Sandra Gomez
Lawyer
Counsel Gomez holds a bachelor’s degree from the Université de Laval and has practiced law in Gatineau (Quebec). She was a member of the Quebec Bar form 2007 to 2009 and has been an active member of the Ivory Coast Bar since October 2009.

Counsel Sandra Gomez worked as a lawyer specialising in family law in Gatineau and joined the firm Effi et Associés as an Associate in 2009.
She’s primarily responsible for files dealing with social rights issues but also negotiates claim recoveries and advocates before Ivory Coast courts.
​
She has successfully completed social audits for US based oil companies located in the Ivory Coast, registration of IP and trade names, including registration of trademarks for a British based companies working in the Ivory Coast.
​
Counsel Gomez also has an expertise providing assistance to mining and energy sector companies, including obtaining exploration and production permits or approvals, tendering and execution of various administrative procedures.
​
Counsel Gomez has also assisted in the launching of initial public offerings on West Africa’s Regional Stock Exchange known as « Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières ».

Counsel Olga Potlog
Lawyer
Counsel Olga Potlog holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Law from the University of Montreal (2012). She has been a member of the Quebec Bar since October 2014. She has also been a member of Jeune Barreau de Montréal, The Association of Family Lawyers of Quebec (AAADFQ) and The Quebec Association of Immigration Lawyers (AQAADI).

Since 2014, Counsel Potlog has been working along side Counsel Serban Mihai Tismanariu. During this time, she has gained extensive experience in immigration law and family law. With the support of multiple experienced lawyers in a variety of fields, Counsel Potlog opened her own private practice in the spring of 2018.
Counsel Potlog uses her own experience as a first-generation immigrant to better aide her clients through their immigration journey. Her experience in family law also gives her a unique perspective on the subtle interactions between the two fields of law; sometimes, even reaching into private international law.

Counsel François Robert
Lawyer
Counsel François Robert is a Lawyer, member of the Québec Bar since 1981 and practises almost exclusively in Indigenous and First Nation’s Law. He has worked to protect First Nations’ Rights, implement treaties and has negotiated extensively with the Québec and Federal Governments on behalf of First Nations.
He set-up an internal legal department for the Cree Regional Administration, currently known as the Cree Nation Government which dispenses legal services to nine Bay James First Nations communities and, as well, to the Cree regional Government.
He worked in the Canadian Artic in order to establish a law program at the Nunavut Arctic College located at Iqaluit, in a quest to create a true appreciation by the Canadian Justice System of traditional Inuit customs and traditions. He also worked to ensure that the new Nunavut Territorial Government acknowledges and promotes Inuit customs and traditions in its deliberations and statutes.
He has also worked at Environment Canada, the Québec Department of Agriculture and the Québec Department of Environment.
Through his alma mater, the Université de Sherbrook, he published a book targeting municipal authorities relating to Municipal Law, territorial rights and uses and related environmental issues, the work is entitled: « L'aménagement du territoire et la protection de l'environnement en milieu rural au Québec ».
He was an Île Bizard borough counsellor at the Montréal City Counsel from 2005 to 2013 and, as well, Chairman of the Île Bizard Urban Consulting Committee.
